Coot, Blue Tit and Coal Tit – getting to know the UK birds. I have seen a bird at Council Point Park and don’t know what it is so going to send the photo to our Department of Natural Resources and see if they can help. We have a site where you can narrow it down by size, shape, perching/wading and color. What I came up with is a bird in Africa. 🙂
Nearly Linda, the last group of pictures are Great Tits except the very last picture is a Coal Tit (bottom right) – you are getting there.- I am starting to get to know some of your US birds.
OK, I missed that one Andy. Yes, I am getting to know more shorebirds and your UK birds through you. There are so many birds to learn the names of. Often they are elusive and I come home with more twigs in the photo than bird, or the shorebirds plunge into the water while I am taking the picture.
