Echoing Peggy, so different than the blue jays I’m used to seeing here in the western U.S. A very pretty jay you’ve got there!

They are pretty I often pick up ta blue wing feather when out for a walk always makes me smile.

I asked a birding friend and he said it was called a Eurasian Jay but as you mentioned already is commonly referred to as a Jay.

Yes, apart from some of my childhood bird books the “Eurasian” is now dropped.
