  1. He must be out there waiting for his girlfriend to show up. He looks a little anxious. Sorry – my sense of humor got the better of me. Enjoyed your video and the still picture if beautiful. Very intersting markings on this bird.

  2. I like the white ring around the neck – they sometimes remind me of a Killdeer. I don’t recall photos from this venue at night – more so in the morning. Was this something different or this was the only time available that day due to COVID social distancing rules?

      • I see – we’ll both the Sanderlings. Our geese won’t leave until the end of June when they begin moulting and they will go somewhere where they can access water quickly from land if there are land predators while they await their flight feathers which takes until late Summer.
