Four-spotted Chaser Dragonfly. The Four-spotted chaser has two dark spots on the leading edge of each wing – this gives the species its name. These were seen this morning at Titchfield Haven Nature reserve.

They sure are short and stubby next to the other dragonflies, but those spots do set it apart. It was content to rest there a while before moving on … sunbathing like the bird the other day.
