An early start at Hatchet Moor in the New Forest. Breakfast in the van with bitter cold wind and dark skies.
Moorhens were inquisitive.
This Dunnock was around the van after we had parked up. A small brown and grey sparrow which are easily overlooked.

Burnt Gorse bushes make nice pictures.
I love the color of those Moorhens. Those bushes looked pretty with the light behind them.

That early morning trip was worth it in the end – especially the beautiful Mute Swan. The Moorhen looked offended to find you there!
